Teacher Professional Development & Tuition Reimbursment

Teachers at a conference.

Continuous, insightful and innovative professional development and growth is essential to the effectiveness of educators, which in turn directly impacts our students.

The Foundation partners with the District to offer funding to enable teachers to attend national professional development conferences, workshops or institutes in their area of expertise, and receive up to 50% of class tuition reimbursement for additional training taken.

Previous Funding Examples: Covering the cost of registration, travel, lodging and the expense of hiring substitute teachers.

I would estimate that the return on investment (professional development during the school improvement and accreditation process) was tripled by the work and leadership roles these teachers assumed for multiple years after this opportunity.
