Community Supports TeamMates through Omaha Gives

June 1, 2019 – The Bennington Public Schools Foundation participated in Omaha Gives on May 22 to raise money for the TeamMates Mentoring of Bennington Program. Overall, 21 donors came together to raise $1,420 for the program.  Read more >>

 

 


Nancy Mohr Retires After 40 Years at Bennington

May 28, 2019 – Born and raised in Bennington, Nancy Mohr attended Bennington schools from Kindergarten through graduation in 1974. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Vocational Home Economics in 1978, she started teaching at Bennington in the fall of 1979, making her career here 40 years long.   Read more >>

 

 


Eight Students Attend French-Immersion Experience

May 17, 2019 – Imagine speaking a language other than your native language for twenty-four hours. Annual Spy Run to be Held During Bennington Daze

May 8, 2019 –Anytime Fitness in Bennington and Three Timbers Church will host the fourth annual Spy Run during Bennington Daze at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at Bennington High School. Proceeds from the run will be donated to the Bennington Public Schools Foundation’s Student and Family Impact Program and will support suicide prevention and awareness initiatives in the district.  Read more >>

 

 


Q&A with TeamMates Coordinator Stan Turner

May 8, 2019 – We sat down with TeamMates Coordinator Stan Turner to ask him why he loves the program, why people should become mentors, and more!

How long have you been the TeamMates Coordinator and why were you interested in leading this program at Bennington? Approximately 4 1/2 years. Our TeamMates chapter was founded in the fall of 2014 and we formed our first match in January of 2015.  As an educator it was my belief that some students would benefit from additional adult interaction. Bennington Schools Raise $24,000 for Flood Relief

April 4, 2019 – The Bennington Public School District lent a helping hand to surrounding communities who were impacted by recent flooding, raising $24,000 in one week. Bennington Organizations Adopt 17 Families
