BPS Foundation Hosts Fourth Annual Gala

More than 375 Bennington community members came together Saturday, March 30, to support the Bennington Public Schools Foundation’s Fourth Annual Gala Fundraiser, Vegas Nights.

Between different levels of sponsorship, live and silent auctions, a raffle, and free-will donations, the event raised around $45,000 to support new and existing Foundation programs.

Attendees enjoyed dinner and dessert, a program, casino games, and dancing. The annual event continues to grow, with nearly 100 more attending this year than in 2018.

“We are so thankful for the generous members of this community who continually show up to support our schools in the Bennington Public School District,” said Foundation Executive Director Regina Meradith.

Proceeds from this year’s event will fund the purchase of mobile STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) carts for Bennington Middle School and each elementary school, as well as playground equipment for Anchor Pointe Elementary opening in the fall.

Other programs supported by the Foundation include Scholarships, Classroom Grants, Project Funding, Student Needs, Teacher Professional Development, Student & Family Impact, Study Centers, and more.

Platinum table sponsors for the event included: Mr. Jeff & Mrs. Amy Beresh, DLR Group, Controlled Rain, and Ameritas.
