Annual Spy Run to be Held During Bennington Daze
Anytime Fitness in Bennington and Three Timbers Church will host the fourth annual Spy Run during Bennington Daze at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at Bennington High School.
Proceeds from the run will be donated to the Bennington Public Schools Foundation’s Student and Family Impact Program and will support suicide prevention and awareness initiatives in the district.
“We are looking forward to hosting this event again and hope to have another great turnout,” said Renee Pokorny, owner of Anytime Fitness in Bennington. “We feel it’s important to support funding for mental health and wellbeing programming for Bennington students.”
Runners can choose between a four mile run around Bennington Lake or a one mile run around the Bennington High School track. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers according to age groups.
The cost to register before May 24 is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under and will include a t-shirt. Registrations between June 1 and June 8 will cost $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. An additional t-shirt order will be placed after the event if you missed the May 24th deadline.
The sponsors have donated funds to the BPS Foundation each of the last three years.
“We greatly appreciate the continued support from Anytime Fitness and Three Timbers Church,” said BPS Foundation Executive Director Regina Meradith. “Our Student and Family Impact Program brings resources to students and families on relevant issues that affect their school or personal lives, family relationships and emotional wellbeing.”
Check in and parking will be at Bennington High School between 7:00 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. on June 8.
